Hi! I am the Medway Big Sister! an interactive telephone application to help you to stay safe when out and about in our towns. Use me to: Identify places to avoid walking in alone at night; find nearest safe spaces that you can go to when you're feeling uncomfortable or lost; get links to available bus and train timetables; local taxi numbers so if there's a change of plan you can get yourself where you want to go quickly and safely and update information to help other women and girls to stay safe too!

Big Sister is a brand new, PinUp PayBack Campaign which seeks to provide a safe space for all who feel at risk of harassment, sexual intimidation, assault or rape from the moment they feel unsafe while on the streets of Medway. When you feel you may be being followed, when you are approached by somebody you can't trust, when you are lost, when you wish you'd called a taxi, when you couldn't afford a taxi, when you're walking alone at night and feel unsettled or unsafe, when you can't call the police because you may not be able to validate these fears. We believe there should be a non-discriminatory space you can easily reach to assess your own safety and make arrangements for your next step to get you home.
